As a woman, she is reluctant to say them. To speak those words would hand over the one thing that remains hers alone. Once she gives those words, she gives the last part of her that she has held closely, dearly withing herself. Yet, her thoughts and innermost feelings are filled with those words.
Words are a heavy responsibility. They have been the bane of her existence, offering an outlet for her innermost thoughts as well as the reason for her condemnation. She has found the need for caution in her words. Only now, that same caution causes her to hold those words back for fear. Fear of not being reciprocated, of not being heard, of losing herself in those words and the feelings that they evoke.
She said them! Softly where only she was sure she was the only one to hear. Yet, he suddenly questioned. "WHAT?"
She did not repeat them, she wanted to , but did not!
And with every breath, she answered his question.
With every heartbeat, she screamed her response!
With every caress, she shouted the words!
"I Love You! I Love you! I Love You!"
Need she say more?
